Ideas change lives

I’ve said this over and over, but I’m going to say it again: heaven or hell is within you. “The kingdom of god is within you.” What does this mean? It means that we have the capacity to experience life in a ‘heavenly’ state or a ‘hellish’ state. Life for human beings isn’t just about ‘survival and replication’ like evolutionists propose; it’s about finding fulfillment and meaning (more on this here).

We all know people who are living life in a state of hell, don’t we? I have known people that no matter what, find a way to be miserable, dissatisfied, pissed-off, and unhappy. Conversely, I have friends who are almost always happy and joyful. What’s going on here? I’m convinced that the ideas that are running through their heads on a regular basis create this heavenly or hellish state. That’s what I mean by “ideas change lives.” When you update/expand the ideas in your head, you expand your capability to live more fully.

So why is an iPod the best investment you could make? Because you can fill it with good books and educational programs. You can fill it with the ideas of other smart/enlightened people and then essentially download them into your own mind. Remember a single idea can change your life forever. Getting one single insight from someone else can literally propel you toward a high quality of life.

A system for learning

In this modern world, most of us have a lot of ‘lag’ time. These are times where we’re going through motions like driving, riding on a bus, cleaning the house, etc. These times can be used to learn and expand with an iPod and a good audio book or personal development program playing. This is why I love audio books so much. You can listen to them without sacrificing any part of your day.

It’s SO important to be a self-learner. And guess what? All it takes is an iPod, access to audio programs, and a simple system where you push the play button while driving or doing something similar. I recommend always having a good personal development book ‘on deck.’
